We have completed our final planting of grapes. We have added about 1.5 - 2 acres of Tempranillo. Tempranillo is a medium-heavy bodied red wine that we believe will do very well in this climate and be a great partner with our other red wine grapes.
Between the NE 244th Street and NW 297th Circle vineyards we have the following grapes planted: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Reisling, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo and Pinot Noir.
Combining the two vineyard sites, we at Three Brothers Vineyard & Winery now have about 15 acres of vineyard. The production of the vineyards will increase each year as the vines mature. It will take another couple of years to be in full production, depending on the effects of the deer and the weather!
The picnic area around the pond has been complete, so the grounds are now ready for those summer picnics, outdoor events and concerts! Check out the events page!
The Spring of 2010 was very cold and wet, so wet that it killed a few vines - especially some Tempranillo out by the main entry sign. We will be replacing those soon. So far the Summer has been fairly warm, so hopefully the plants will catch up by harvest!
